In 2010 we were commissioned by North Tyneside Council to produce an exhibition to celebrate the centenary of the construction of the Spanish City Dome in Whitley Bay.
The Dome of Memories exhibition ran during Heritage Open Days in 2010 and 2011. In 2010 it was the most successful HODS event in the country, attracting 15,000 visitors over three days. We researched, wrote, designed, and installed the exhibition and commissioned films and projections inside the Spanish City Dome.
After the highly successful Heritage Open Days exhibition in 2010, North Tyneside Council asked us to produce an in-depth history of the Spanish City. Researched, written and designed by us, the book was published in February 2011.
A new edition of the book is being prepared to coincide with the reopening of the Dome in 2018.
